History

Eugene Roche was born and raised in the wild and extremely dangerous lands of the Southern Islands. Since childhood, he was surrounded by difficulties and troubles, but Roche was a determined and brave young man. He knew that the world was rough and unpredictable, but he always tried not to lose hope.

When Roche reached the age to leave his hometown, he went in search of his way in life. He had heard about the quiet island of Khorinis and was interested in the idea of starting from scratch. Arriving on the island, he felt the air of new opportunities, but found that the island society was shaken by crimes and lawlessness.

Roche did not want to become a victim of this lawless environment. He decided that he needed to find a job to provide himself with food and a roof over his head. But it was difficult to find a honest and decent job until one of the tavern visitors suggested to him about an illegal fight club in one of the old boat workshops. It was said that people with criminal records find jobs there and earn good money.

Roche carefully calculated the possible risks, but decided to entrust his future to this dubious place. Roche was not a weakling, but he understood that without proper training, the only future that awaits him is a gutter.

Soon Roche was able to defeat all opponents who dared to stand in his way. But, alas, his successes did not go unnoticed in the city of Chorinis. One of the residents against the encroachment on law and order snitched on the club, and the authorities shut him down.

The sudden closure of the club meant that Roche was left without protection from those who lost their money because of him. He realized that he could not stay here for long. He hid in the hold of one of the cargo ships and went to surf the seas.

His journey did not last long and he fell into the hands of soldiers. Instead of sending him to the colony, they gave him a second chance to volunteer for the army. Roche realized that he had no choice, and he agreed.

The king's army was fighting the orcs - the last enemies of the kingdom. Roche, despite his rough appearance, proved to be an excellent fighter and began to move up the career ladder in the ranks of the army. He was taken as the leader of one of the royal detachments in the south of Myrtana. But his envious people did not like it, and they arranged the murder of one of the corporals accused Roche, for which he was immediately sent to the colony without giving a chance to explain himself.

While Roche was riding in the prison cart, he was overwhelmed with different feelings. Disgust, boredom. But nothing could be compared to the feelings of anger and hatred that overwhelmed him. However, none of this could be seen either on his stubbly face or in his eyes, dark as honey in water.

Roche understood that the mining colony was another test that he had to pass. Once in the old camp, Roche saw that extreme inequality and cruelty reigned in the colony. The workers were deprived of their basic rights and were subjected to bullying by self-proclaimed supervisors.

He had no allies, associates, or friends. The only thing he had was a feeling of revenge that kept him wanting to live and hoping that someday he would be able to leave the barrier alive.

But not every story has a good ending. Roche was not prepared for a surprise attack by one of his killers. He died due to a knife wound right in the heart, left lying in one of the caves of the mining colony

A couple of days after Roche's death. A man named Zerrit appears in the colony. A cruel rascal and a swindler, as well as a former leader of a gang of murderers. However, the most important fact about him is that he is Roche's brother with whom he lost touch a long time ago.
