History

The day began as usual, morning orc drills, training, patrols. Yes, Colincia was taken over by them. Confused orcs, busy with work, did not know that there were survivors of Innos' knights and mages among the city's environs. Evil triumphed over good, taking over the city, slaughtering mages and knights. The Water Mages and Adanos warriors rode to the rescue of the Innos troops. An attack on the city was planned for that very day. The troops of the Fire Mages and knights of Innos joined with the Water Mages and warriors of Adanos thus taking the name Crusaders. Garnier de Naplouse, about whom this story is written, commanded the troops of Adanos, for that time also the Crusaders. The Crusaders, in a force of 14,000 men, advanced slowly along the coastal road having troops of orcs behind them. They attacked the advancing tabor of soldiers, intending to provoke them into battle. Several melees occurred, but the general avoided confrontation. The Orc Herald decided to make a final attack a few kilometers north of Colinci. Garnier positioned his army with its back to the sea. In front of the knights on horseback, he deployed infantry, archers and magicians. On the right flank stood the paladins and mages of Innos, and on the left the warriors and mages of Adanos. The orcs went on the attack before noon, wave attacks consisting of light-armed orc infantry moved on the crusaders, but they did little harm to the knights clad in plate armor. Then the heavier orc infantry armed with huge orc swords and axes, as well as shamans, struck at them. They hit the knights of Innos and Adanos the hardest, but these did not give way. Each time, Garnier lined up his archers and mages, who showered the enemy with a hail of arrows and magic. In the end, the knights of Adanos did not hold out by making an attack without the general's permission. They were followed by more troops. Then Garnier managed to bring order to the ranks of the crusaders, who launched a charge against the orcs. The orcs could not withstand the well-coordinated attack of the cavalry and threw themselves into flight. A great number of orcs fell in the battle, even more than half the army. The Crusaders counted their losses at 700, including more than 100 mages. After the battle, they separated everyone, causing the name "crusaders" to fall. The city was taken over by mages and paladins of Innos. The mages of Adanos and his knights, knowing that the balance was not upset, headed west to the island of Khorinis.
