Kyran was born and raised on Laran, one of the eastern archipelago islands. From a young age he was adventurous boy. With twin brother Vigor he enjoyed spending most of the time in forest: exploring it's wildlife, picking different plants, though learning it the hard way. On one of these explorations, when they were 8 years old, they went really deep in the forest. Being really hungry stumbled a very colorful plant. Without any anticipation his brother pulled it out, put it all in his mouth and started chewing on. A moment later Kyran saw his brother fall on the ground, white liquid dripping from mouth and hard breeding, following desperate hand movements. And shortly in his hands - he died. Kyran couldn't bear this fact, the brother who was his only true friend, left him alone. This made him get really educational on plants by reading the books and spending time with local herbalist Eldric. 6 years after the loss a mysterious plague visited his village. At first it only killed rats, then chickens, cattle but then people started getting ill. With all this knowledge he help Eldric experiment on the cure but it took too long. Half the village folk were dead in the first week, including Kyran's father Gyros who was later revealed ate mutated pork. Turned out the solution was way more simpler. They had to get rid of all the died animals or their remains and burned them so the virus won't be able to live on and eventually past. Kyran then convinced himself that he won't make a good alchemist. But then knowing that the village don't have much of food options, he started experimenting with different plants: cooking them, making spices, sauces. His mother taught him lots of basic recipes, so that he could improve them. But knowing that it would still lead him to poor life. So his mother sent him the capital Sudenheim to work on famous tavern. There he would live a good life and meet his love Evelin who served there. Until one evening. A group of knights came there to celebrate their recent victory against rebels who opposed the king. They got really drunk and started dirty talking on Evelin and reaching for her but she resisted making them really violent by grabbing her hair. This was unbearable to Kyran but knowing he won't be able to do anything physically he resisted. Thankfully their leader saw it when he came inside and prevent further compulsion. But Kyran couldn't let this slip like that. He had an idea to make an abuser sick by adding starfire bloom into his stew. So he did that. But then something wrong happened, a knight refused his stew claiming he was already full so the leader took it instead. He got sick and threw up. Not long before they found Kyran guilty, but on other occasion he didn't expected to hear. He was found guilty on trying to poison one of the generals as a rebel but Kyran's words were naught against the judges. So they though sending him to the Valley of Mines was the best choice. That's where his new life begins...
At first he was one of the enthusiastic prisoners. Even though he couldn't dig well and was beaten by a shadow for not working well enough and spent time in mine only two times. Couldn't make ore by hunting because he lacked the skill to fight the beasts and skin, fully butcher them. Had to rely on shadows and mage's rare generosity. Despite all this even though he was one of the poorest diggers he still found joy in other things, like cooking, making medicine, and daily necessities out of nature's resources. He found lots of friends there, especially one by the name of Tygren, they spent endless nights just sitting near Arena speaking about life in general. Since Tygren was a great fighter for a digger, Kyran would always ask him to go with him into the forest so that he could gather all the plants, berries, and branches to make meat more tasteful, soap for not having stinking clothes, and more. Because of Kyran, Tygren learned about different plants of the forest and their abilities: Wanderer's Leech were the long green leaves that with a small bit of water could have stopped any bleeding, Water Bloom was high plants growing near rivers which could help to choke any liquid out of the one's body, Terries were edible, red sour berries with a sweet aftertaste. He also mentioned so-called Elderglow mushrooms that were growing on the sides of the trees. Kyran showed Tygren how to make sweet sour scavenger thighs, and how to make a sweet-smelling soap, though lost the product in a river before it could have been used. Not to mention Kyran saving Tygren's and Asden's lives. Part II: But then something bad started to happen with Kyran. One night two shadows scared him about some Dark Mage who would turn into the digger, find trust among them, and use them in their experiments. Kyran was shocked by the news and ran to his hut that day without looking back, tried to sleep but couldn't close his eyes. Beliar used his fear and after some time at the arena Kyran was possessed by one of Beliar's henchmen, he spoke through his voice about how shadow Asden turned his back on the lord of darkness and now will die for that. Auden was impressed by Kyran's fighting skills despite knowing he wasn't even a beginner in fighting, but he had a feeling whole fighting skills were the henchmen since he controlled every Kyran's move. Thankfully Kyran was knocked to the ground and the henchman lost control of him. Kyran then woke up without any understanding, he said to the shadow when his soul went unconscious he had a dark dream in which he heard Beliar's voice saying to join him and red eyes appearing from the distance and slowly getting closer. He was paralysed but before something could happen Shadow broke the dream spell by defeating the body. Tygren then felt a bit comic and whispered in Kyran's ears Beliar's words so Kyren got so scared he ran into the corner and pooped himself, Tygren then apologized to him. He asked him not to do that again. Then because Kyran shit his pants and Tygren pissed him from laughter they went to make some soap. When they finished it, it was already dark and Tygren saw a shadow spying on them but when Kyran turned his head up he was gone already. So Kyran didn't believe him but Tygren hadn't dropped his stubbornness and chased for him. He shouted to Kyran to follow him but he said he thought it was another joke so he didn't Then Kyran offered a deal, if there weren't any shadows Tygren would give 50 ore. So he went in and stopped near the fireplace without seeing anyone, he shouted to Tygren, and Tygren did the same. But then Kyran saw a dark silluet near the smithy and started thinking it was that Dark Mage, so he turned back and shouted he was leaving the camp. On the way if found Cedrick but said to him he had enough of this and ran to the river outside. Started to drown and ended up in the cave beneath, Cendrick found him but Kyran though it's the mage turned to him because he found him recently. Then more people came, Tygren himself too. He offered an Adanos amulet for Kyran which would protect him from Beliar's bad influence. Kyran grabbed the amulet and put it on. They left the cave and went back to the camp. Beliar watched everything and decided not to get involved to see how everything will turn out. Part III: Several days passed, Kyran started to think Adanos helped him and started preaching about his doings. He found a guy and started to covert him to Adanos, After some time he heard his stomach so offered to bless the meat he had so that it would give the digger strength. The other day he had a dream of how Adanos saw his doing and offered him to do something grand. Since Kyran saw an upcoming tournament against monsters the dream stated he would go to the woods, to a specific place, gather some blessed branches and engrave them with Adanos symbols, hand those to diggers, and try to sabotage the tourney. The next day he did so, he found Rakon and asked to protect him in the forest, and Rakon agreed. After they gathered the branches Kyran spent three full days engraving them since he didn't knew much about the trade. When the day came he asked Cedrick to help him find some ropes, but he said he had some leather he could prepare. After this Kyran finally finished 11 amulets. He then started handing those to all of the diggers: to some, he said it would protect them from the monsters they were to face, to others it would help them not to drown or get lost in the forest. Most of the diggers taked them but some weren't that willing. Then he waited until the betting ended against 3 wolves so that he would attract the attention of all the people. He kept repeating all the words in his mind so when the time came he rushed to the arena and spitted everything without stopping to take a breath. But the guards didn't listen to him and beat him. They tried to drag him out of the arena but without any success, he didn't fear the consequences. His friends tried to help him get into sense by shouting for him to obey the guards but failed. As he said the last words, I'm a speaker of Adanos, his words come from my mouth" he was killed by a shadow. His friends still remember him to this day by keeping the amulets near them. That's the story of a digger who was good at heart but was too weak to resist Beliar's influence which turned him into a madman. THE END
