Arkhan Qualshy (Drakania-49)

From Drakaniaverse

Arkhan is the Guardian of Light, devoid of family and raised by the Ancestor Council, displaying calmness, intelligence, and mistrust towards humans, gained power in the Old Camp Castle on Khorinis, then betrayed the Council by killing his mentor, and currently conducts covert observations while planning to participate in the expedition of the Four Guardians to the Mortal Realm.

Personality

Calm, attentive, but above all intelligent. Distrustful of mortal beings, despises them, and especially hates humans. He always pursues his chosen goal, learns quickly and always finds a way out of a situation. He is mysterious, rarely talks to others and almost never introduces himself. He is proud of who he is, and often polishes his skills to perfection.

Abilities

  • Curvature of Reality (Basic Level) - An ability that allows one to create his own small dimension, alternative to the one he currently resides in. Requires, above all, tremendous concentration.
  • Space Spell (Advanced Level) - Allows the user to move to any location in the dimension, but the greater the distance, the more power is lost. It is rarely possible to combine this time with the Time Spell.
  • Time Spell (Experienced Level) - Allows the user to manipulate time within a maximum distance of 10 meters from the user. It can go back 5 minutes or look forward one hour.
  • Teleport (Ancestral Skill) - Allows the user to move to the nearest Ancestor. May not allow other Ancestors to move.
  • Transformation (Experienced Level) - Can change certain parts of his body as needed. For example, turn his left hand into a Wolf's paw. Or change his appearance to something else.

History

"Chapter 1 - Birth" Arkhan had no parents. He didn't even have a family. He was found as a young child by one of the Council of Ancestors, on Day 174285, Month of Rain, Year 156, Era XVI. All the Ancestors wanted to get rid of him, claiming that he would doom their civilization to collapse. All except the Councilor, who found the boy and taught him about their history, skills, chose his name, and shared with him the secrets of the world of magic. The Councilor discovered the Talent of Light in the young man, which allowed him to become the Guardian of that element.

"Chapter 2 - The World of Humans" Years and centuries passed, and Arkhan grew stronger. He was even allowed to receive the honor of sitting in Council meetings, even though he did not belong to it. One day, he was given a mission to go to the World of Humans to report on the Ancients of the Myrtana Continent, as the Council had received information about their discovery of Magic. Arkhan had been to the World of Humans many times before, but it had been many years since his last visit. He quickly completed the assignment and asked to stay there for a while. He put on some rags and strolled around the Continent before moving on and checking out other places in the world. He became curious about the Builders of the still undiscovered island of Khorinis. He watched their actions closely, but did not like their wars. Arkhan returned when he saw Quarhodron return with the Claw of Beliar, which unleashed hell and civil war at the civilization. "My work ends here..." He left and reported to the Council, and Adanos sent punishment on his people.

"Chapter 3 - Changes" Arkhan watched what was happening in the World of Humans for several hundred years. He began to feel disgust for mortals, seeing what was happening. Curious about the Barrier in the Miner's Valley - Colony on Khorinis, the place where the bloody Builders' War once took place, he set out there and accidentally took the reigns of the Old Camp at the Slave Rebellion. He decided to keep an eye on the people in this way, playing the tyrant. He discovered that there was an orc temple in the southwest, which housed the demon Sleeper. He didn't worry about this, however, and dropped the task to the younger Guardian, Aulaler, who had also been in the Colony for some time. When the demon was banished and the Barrier fell, Arkhan "accidentally" killed some prisoners who bothered him to watch what was going on. So he decided to return to the Ancestral World to wait there for another task or some information. After some time, there was a meeting of the Council, at which Arkhan decided to take action.

"Chapter 4 - Betrayal" Arkhan stood by the side of his mentor, who once taught and sheltered him, treated him like a son. The meeting continued, and the Guardian sensed that this was the moment. Suddenly, Radny fell dead, his chest pierced through with a sword whose blade burned black. Arkhan stood next to him and smiled at the Councilor while drawing his sword. "You have no right to call yourselves Guardians. You are wasting your potential, and the Gods think only of themselves. But in a short time the day will come when all the dirt of all the worlds will disappear." After these words, he disappeared into Nothingness, his own self-made dimension to which only he had access. However, he did not cease contact with the World of People and the World of Ancestors, he watched everything. The attempts to find him, to determine the new Supreme Councilor, the affairs of mortals. But he was most curious about the expedition of the Four Guardians - Fire, Water, Light and Dark - to the World of Humans to recover the Zones left there centuries ago. He decided to go with them, and using his skills, his appearance was faked by the chosen Keeper of Light, whom he killed. The rest didn't find out anything.
