Uriel is shorter than the average citizen, due to the lack of nourishment while he was just a child. He is lean, and muscular from all the training and working inside the monastery. He has long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a very pale skin color.

Personality

A measured and thoughtful young man, at the age of 21. His age doesn't reflect on his personality, due to him being left alone for most of his childhood. He tends to be a smart-ass, but he doesn't mean to be, he just has a lot of confidence in himself and his faith. He has extensive knowledge about history, philosophy and astronomy. He has a soft spot for the poor and fallen, they commemorate him of his past life as Eric. He despises others who place themself above the gods or create disorder, waste their life away stealing and idling. He is on a quest to bring the world of Innos into the realm of mortals.

History

Eric was born in Khorinis, into a wealthy family. His mother died shortly after she gave birth, leaving the two of them behind. Their life soon started to go downhill once the head of the family started drinking and gambling as a means to drown his sorrow. Shortly after losing everything they had, the father joined the Thieves guild as a means to gain back some similarity to their old life. In the meantime, Eric had nowhere to go, he grew up on the streets, attending the sermons of the priests. He grew especially fond of a mage called Rodriguez who offered spiritual guidance to him, and being the father he could have wished for. Meanwhile the young kid learned the teachings of Innos, from his newly found father figure. Eric despised his own father, for the lifestyle he had, admittedly, it was successful, the father remembered where folk in the upper quarter hide their goods and their dirty secrets, but no thief goes unpunished. So it happened that he got arrested and sent to the Valley of Mines, leaving behind the still young Uriel. Using the last of his gold and influence, he sent Uriel to the monastery of fire, so his son wouldn't end up like him. At the young age of 14 he got in service of the monastery of fire and became a novice of Innos. Upon entering Eric left his old life behind, took up the name Uriel and swore to spread the word of Innos, bring order and hope into the Island of Khorinis. For 7 years he dedicated his young adult life to the monastery, tending to the sheep and grape garden, while learning anything he could about the holy power of Innos, in the meantime. With the recent slaughter of the paladins and the line of executions, he decided to go out into the world, and as a conduit of Innos bring order back, step by step, little by little…
