	...		What makes a man dangerous? Mostly, it's his ambition. Then comes everything else about him.

			Francis spent little of his adult life in Khorinis, yet he is not born elsewhere. From a young age he found a career in the art of violence. Even as a little boy, he would use raw strength or the silver of his tongue to get what he wanted from his peers. His youth times were, however, better times at home and good times bring little favor to those like him.

			He became a prominent thug, capable of extortion and offering his and his men's services to the highest bidder. In time, his business was cut short by the governor and some affected nobles, who were worried that this King of Slums was becoming all too powerful. Thus, at the mere age of 18, our entrepreneur of death, fear and intimidation used his skills as a sell-sword in the First Orc War, where he first met his colleague, Adelbrand. He fought boldly and led his men to victories, yet he was known more for his ruthless, calculated and tactical mind than any traces of honor or genuine courage.

			Clearly, the frictions and instability caused by the Second Orc War have brought the warrior back to his Slum Throne. Now are not good times for the City, and bad times bring much favor to those like him.

			One would have an almost impossible time understanding how the aforementioned are all about this man in the second half of his life, jovial, perhaps a little too drunkard, friendly to strangers and granter of freedoms and riches to those who he likes and whom aid him. Yet here could be the very key to Francis, whose apparently bipolar traits stem, in fact, from the same, primal ideations and instincts he has felt since his childhood and which he only developed further with his rationality and experience.

			His ambition made Francis a dangerous man. Then, everything else about him made him further so.
